How a Bad Park Job Became Banff’s Most Famous Pie

What’s Happening? A green Kia famously parked itself on top of a Banff snowbank, and now it’s been immortalized… in dessert form.

From Curb to Curb Appeal. Bronwyn Biro, the baker behind Alpine Bloom Bakery, snapped a photo of the infamous “mountain goat Kia” and turned it into a tart called—wait for it—Kia Lime Pie. Complete with coconut cream “snow” and a green car topper, the dessert is as cheeky as it is delicious.

Where to Get It? Locals can snag the pie at this Wednesday’s Banff Farmers Market. Given the hype (and comments like “this is gold” and “500% would buy”), don’t expect it to last long.

Community Reacts. Fans are calling it “legend status,” “brilliant,” and “the best thing I’ve seen.”
