Banff Vacation Rental Named One of World’s Best, It Costs $1524 a Night
A centrally located three-bedroom home made Vrbo’s 2026 annual rankings, which spotlight top-performing vacation homes based on guest reviews and host reliability

A three-bedroom home just off Banff Avenue has been named one of the top vacation rentals in the world by Vrbo, a short-term rental platform that highlights high-performing properties based on guest reviews and host reliability.
The recognition places the Banff listing alongside a curated group of properties across Canada and internationally, ranging from alpine chalets to lakeside cottages. Vrbo, short for “Vacation Rentals by Owner,” operates similarly to Airbnb, allowing travellers to book entire homes for short-term stays. Its annual “Vacation Rentals of the Year” list is now in its fifth year.

The Banff property earned the platform’s “Loved by Guests” designation, a badge reserved for listings with consistently high ratings and strong guest feedback. It also ranks among the top 10% of reviewed properties in its area, according to the listing.

Located near the intersection of Lynx Street and Squirrel Street, the home sits roughly two blocks from Banff Avenue.

The home itself fits a familiar mould in Banff’s short-term rental market: a full-house setup geared toward groups, with space for up to eight guests and a mix of modern finishes layered over a mountain-style aesthetic. It includes three bedrooms, a full kitchen, and outdoor space oriented toward views of Mount Rundle.

Details highlighted in the listing lean toward comfort and convenience rather than novelty, things like higher-end mattresses, stocked bathrooms, and a ready-to-use kitchen. There’s also a backyard and deck space, which is relatively uncommon this close to downtown.

The property is managed by a host operating under the name “Mountains Calling Chalet,” which carries Vrbo’s “Premier Host” designation. The label is typically tied to consistently high ratings, low cancellation rates, and responsive communication.

Nightly rates are listed at $1,524 on average, though that can shift significantly depending on the time of year, particularly during peak summer and holiday periods.
