600+ Jobs Up for Grabs at Banff Job Fair This Week

Seasonal hiring ramps up across the Bow Valley as employers compete for workers ahead of summer

A major hiring push is underway in Banff, with more than 600 positions expected to be filled at the upcoming Summer Job Fair on Thursday, March 26 (1–3:30 p.m.) at the Banff Park Lodge.

Organized by the Job Resource Centre, the fair brings together a wide mix of local employers, from hospitality heavyweights like Banff Centre, Sunshine Village, and Fairmont Banff Springs, to tourism operators, retailers, and municipal services.

The roles span everything from entry-level summer jobs to skilled positions, including servers, cooks, housekeepers, front desk agents, maintenance workers, and program staff.

No registration is required, and job seekers are encouraged to come prepared with resumes. For those who aren’t quite ready, the Job Resource Centre is offering free resume support and printing at their Banff and Canmore offices ahead of the event.

The Banff fair is the first of two this season, with a second job fair scheduled for April 17 at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore.

Why this matters: Seasonal hiring is ramping up fast across the Bow Valley, and this event offers one of the most direct ways to connect with employers ahead of the busy summer months.

This hiring push comes as Bow Valley employers continue to deal with a tight labour market. A recent Job Resource Centre report showed job postings rose 12% last summer, while the available workforce shrank due to fewer international workers and ongoing housing challenges.

That imbalance is showing up again this year, with employers starting recruitment earlier and casting a wider net to fill roles ahead of the busy summer season.
